Meet Dr. Beth Yamashiro & Our Team | Beth’s Braces
Aloha from our team

Meet Dr. Beth Yamashiro and the Beth’s Braces Team

Five people, one office, and a combined thirty-plus years of straightening teeth in the Las Vegas Valley. You will see the same faces at every appointment.

Orthodontic treatment runs eighteen months or more. That is a long time to spend with people you do not like, which is part of why we think the team page matters more here than it does for most practices. Below you will find who we are, where we came from, and what we speak — because the person at the front desk knowing your name in your own language changes how a visit feels.

Dr. Beth Yamashiro, DDS, MBA

Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawai‘i. Practicing orthodontics in southern Nevada since 2012.

Dr. Beth grew up on the Big Island, and she is straightforward about what she brought with her: the aloha spirit is not a decoration on this practice, it is how she was raised to treat people. Patients tend to notice it before they notice anything clinical.

She moved to California in 2004 to attend the University of the Pacific, and in 2009 she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, graduating with high honors. Later that year she came to Las Vegas — closer to family, and considerably closer to sunshine. Here she completed three years of orthodontic specialty training at Roseman University of Health Sciences, earning her orthodontic degree alongside a Master of Business Administration.

That distinction is worth pausing on. Any licensed dentist can offer aligners, but an orthodontist completes years of accredited residency devoted entirely to tooth movement, jaw growth and bite correction. Dr. Beth finished hers in 2012 and has practiced orthodontics exclusively ever since.

Three practices, one family. Dentistry runs in Dr. Beth’s family — her father still runs his own dental practice in Hawai‘i, and her twin sister operates an orthodontic practice in Boulder, Colorado. Dinner conversations are, by all accounts, very specific.

Outside the office, Dr. Beth is a genuinely accomplished pickleball player. She also swims, runs, hosts game nights, and spends most of the remaining hours with her two young boys — which is part of why she is unhurried with nervous seven-year-olds. She has been on the other side of that chair.

The people you will actually see

The Beth’s Braces team

Small office, low turnover. Several of our team members have been here the better part of a decade, which means they know your treatment history without pulling the chart.

Lisa, front desk coordinator at Beth's Braces orthodontics in Las Vegas
Front Desk

Lisa

Lisa is usually the first face you see, and she has made it her job to keep the front of the office calm. She joined Beth’s Braces in March 2020 with more than ten years in dentistry already behind her — first as a dental assistant, then in dental administration — so scheduling, billing and insurance claims all land with someone who genuinely knows how they work. Outside the office she travels, hunts down new restaurants, and spends time with family.

Regie, orthodontic assistant at Beth's Braces in Las Vegas, speaks Tagalog and English
Orthodontic Assistant

Regie

Regie practiced as a dentist in the Philippines before becoming an orthodontic assistant, and she has worked alongside Dr. Beth for more than nine years. That combination — clinical depth plus a genuinely gentle chairside manner — is why she is often the one working with anxious patients. In her spare time she travels and eats her way through new restaurants.

Jessica, back office assistant at Beth's Braces orthodontics in Las Vegas
Back Office Assistant

Jessica

Jessica has been part of the office for years, and she came to orthodontics honestly — she has been fascinated by teeth since the day her own braces came off in middle school. Her favourite part of the job is still the reveal at the end, watching patients see the result for the first time. Outside work she is a devoted animal person, with two dogs, Minnie and Tippy, who get walked daily.

Nina, front desk and marketing at Beth's Braces in Las Vegas, speaks German and English
Front Desk & Marketing

Nina

Nina taught English and Biology in Germany before moving to the United States in early 2024 and joining us that summer. She splits her time between the front desk and running our marketing and social media, and she is the one most likely to strike up a real conversation while you wait. Away from the office she plays frisbee with her dog, goes thrifting, and makes things.

Why a small team matters

What you get from an office this size

Beth’s Braces is one practice with one orthodontist, not a group with rotating providers. That shapes the experience in a few concrete ways.

You always see Dr. Beth The person who plans your treatment is the person who adjusts it, every visit. No handoffs to an associate you have not met.
Three languages at the desk Tagalog, German and English are all spoken here, which matters for families who would rather discuss treatment in their first language.
Continuity across years Our assistants have been with the practice for the better part of a decade. They remember your case, your kids and your preferences.
An orthodontic specialist Dr. Beth completed a three-year accredited residency and practices orthodontics exclusively — not as an add-on to general dentistry.

Come say hello. The first visit is on us.

A free consultation with Dr. Beth: photos, a 3D scan, an honest look at your smile and a written plan with real numbers. No pressure to decide that day. Mahalo for considering us.
